Collectors Gallery & Framery

Proprietor/Designer – Leah Sherman was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Her studies at the Memphis College of Art included drawing, painting and costume design. She holds degrees in Psychology from the University of Memphis and Middle Tennessee State University. Leah worked as a psychologist in Lima and Mansfield, Ohio then headed south to Miami, Fl to live on a sailboat. She worked for many years in real estate sales/ management and residential remodeling. Her artistic nature proved useful in staging the homes she remodeled and decorated for fun and profit. Leah re-located to Venice in 2007 and purchased Collectors’ Gallery & Framery in 2008. She is an avid collector and looks at life as an adventure which must include travel. To select artists for the gallery she has traveled as far as Barcelona Spain, Eugene Oregon, New York City and Miami as well as attending many regional and local venues. Framer – George “Ed” Morrison is a native of Philadelphia, PA where his passions were hiking, biking and building and flying radio controlled aircraft. As a young adult Ed was with Rainbow River Tours serving as tugboat deckhand, marine mechanic and tour boat Captain. In 2007, Paradise beckoned and Ed and wife Maria re-located to Englewood, Florida. Ed trained as a picture framer in Tampa, Florida and never looked back. His attention to detail is exceptional and he has always enjoyed the challenge of “taking a box of sticks and making something look great”. Our team also includes Designers Nancy Popovec and Artist/Designer Patti Cross art critic/gallery mascot, Beau. They work to ensure that every customer enjoys the experience of art selection and framing. There is no better way to enrich your environment than a beautifully framed work of art whether it is a priceless Monet or your child’s first drawing. Your walls do talk so they should be your own personal expression.
